Create more space without leaving the home you love.

Single-Storey Rear & Side Extensions
A single-storey extension is a great way to open up your ground floor, create a larger kitchen-diner, or add a playroom, snug or utility space.
Typical single-storey extensions include:
Rear kitchen/dining extensions
Side-return infills to make better use of narrow side spaces
Garden rooms and family rooms opening onto patios or terraces
Utility rooms, boot rooms and extra storage
We work with you (and your architect, if involved) to make sure the new space is practical, light and easy to live in, with thoughtful details like storage, lighting and access to the garden.
Two-Storey Extensions for Growing Families
If you need both living space and extra bedrooms, a two-storey extension can be a cost-effective alternative to moving.
A two-storey extension can help you:
Add one or more bedrooms
Create an en-suite or larger family bathroom
Expand downstairs living space at the same time
Improve the overall flow of your home
We focus on neat workmanship, sensible structural solutions and finishes that tie in with your existing property, so the extension looks and feels like part of the original house.
Kitchen Extensions and Open-Plan Living
Many homeowners use an extension as an opportunity to create the kitchen they’ve always wanted. We regularly combine our kitchen renovation experience with extension projects to deliver open-plan, multi-use spaces.
Your new extension can incorporate:
A larger kitchen with island or peninsular
Open-plan kitchen/dining/living space
Wide openings to the garden with bifold or sliding doors
Rooflights or lanterns to bring in natural light
Utility and storage areas hidden neatly out of sight
Through our BNI network, we collaborate with interior designers and architects to get the layout, lighting and finishes right from the start.
Working with Architects and Interior Designers
Most extensions benefit from proper plans and, in some cases, planning permission or building control approval. We don’t provide architectural services ourselves, but we:
Work happily with your chosen architect, or
Introduce you to architects in our trusted network when you need drawings, structural input or help with permissions.
If you’d like extra help with colours, finishes and furniture layouts, we can also connect you with interior designers we know through BNI. We’re used to working as part of a wider professional team and keep communication clear between everyone involved.
Our Approach to House Extensions
As a small, hands-on team, we only take on a limited number of projects at a time. That means you deal directly with Angelo and Dani throughout your extension project.
What you can expect:
Personal service from start to finish – No sales reps; you speak to the people doing the work.
20+ years’ construction experience – Angelo brings practical carpentry skills and on-site problem-solving.
Clear communication – Dani keeps you updated, explains each stage in plain English and makes sure you always know what’s happening next.
Tailored to your home and lifestyle – We don’t offer one-size-fits-all packages; every extension is designed around how you live.
Trusted local trades – We use reliable subcontractors for specialist work such as electrics, gas and roofing, and provide the necessary certificates on completion.
Supply and installation – We can supply materials and finishes, or work with products you’ve already chosen.
Our Extension Process
We know an extension is a big investment, so we keep the process as straightforward and transparent as possible.
1. Initial conversation
We start with a friendly chat about what you’re hoping to achieve, your budget and your timescales. If it sounds like a good fit, we arrange a home visit within our usual area around Reading, Wokingham, Ascot and nearby parts of Berkshire.
2. Home visit & review of plans
We look at your existing home, review any drawings you already have, and talk through options for layout, structure, services (electrics, plumbing, heating) and finishes. If you don’t yet have plans, we can suggest architects from our network.
3. Detailed quote & scope of works
You receive a clear quotation and scope of works so you know what’s included, how long the extension is likely to take and how payments are structured.
4. Scheduling the work
Once you’re happy to proceed and the deposit is paid, we book your project into our schedule. We typically manage up to two projects at a time to maintain quality and attention to detail.
5. On-site construction
We protect your home as far as possible, keep the site tidy and update you regularly. We coordinate our trusted subcontractors so each stage runs smoothly, from foundations and structure through to plastering, kitchens, bathrooms and decoration.
6. Handover, warranty & aftercare
When everything is complete, we walk through the extension with you, check the details together and provide any relevant certificates. Our workmanship is covered by a 1‑year warranty as standard.
Areas We Cover
We are based in Reading and typically work within roughly 25 miles/40km, including:
